The Okashi Museum (Sweets Museum) is an interactive facility located in Tempozan Marketplace, Osaka. It showcases the fascinating world of Japanese confectionery through:

  • Sweet Dioramas: Large-scale models of famous Japanese landmarks made from various sweets.

  • Retro Snack History: A nostalgic look at "Dagashi" (traditional Japanese cheap snacks) that have been loved for generations.

Admission Fees

  • Adults (Middle School students and older): 600 JPY

  • Children (4 years old to Elementary School): 300 JPY

  • Under 3 years old: Free

  • Note: Prices include tax. Some hands-on workshops (like candy making) may require an additional fee.

Access

The museum is located on the 2nd Floor of Tempozan Marketplace, right next to the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan.

  • By Train: * Take the Osaka Metro Chuo Line to Osakako Station.

    • It is about a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 or 2.

  • By Bus: * From Osaka City Bus "Tenpozan" stop (immediately nearby).

    • From Kansai International Airport (KIX), take the airport limousine bus bound for "Tempozan (Kaiyukan)."
