Asakusa Samba Carnival 2026

OkawaJunya

The Asakusa Samba Carnival (Asakusa Samba Carnival Parade Contest) is one of Tokyo’s most vibrant and energetic summer events, held annually since 1981.
It is known as the largest samba event in the Northern Hemisphere, attracting around 500,000 visitors each year. Authentic samba teams with colorful costumes, giant decorated floats (allegorias), and live music parade through the historic streets of Asakusa, creating an exciting contrast with traditional Tokyo.
