🔍 How to Find Lost Items in Japan using Find Chat

Find Chat is a 24/7 AI-powered service used by major Japanese airports, train lines, and public transport operators to help you locate lost belongings across multiple facilities without installing any app.

✨ Key Features

• Multi-Facility Search: Connects databases across major Japanese transit operators (including JR lines, Tokyo Monorail, Keikyu, and major airports).

• No App Required: Accessible instantly through any web browser or QR code via a line-based chat.

• 24/7 Multilingual AI Support: Communicate in English anytime without language barriers.

• All-in-One Inquiry: You don't need to manually select or check off individual train lines or airport terminals. The AI searches integrated partner databases simultaneously based on your traveled route.

📝 Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Open the Chat

• Scan a Find Chat QR code at an information desk or visit the official lost and found web page of a participating airport or train operator.

Step 2: Enter Your Item & Travel Details

• Select the category of your item (e.g., wallet, smartphone, passport, jacket) and describe its color, brand, or unique features.

• Enter the date, time, and route or areas you traveled (e.g., "Narita Airport Terminal 1 to Tokyo Station via JR train").

Step 3: Automated AI Cross-Search

• Submit your inquiry. The system will automatically search across connected databases of participating transit lines and airport facilities in the background.

Step 4: Receive Match Updates

• You will be notified via chat as soon as a potential match is found, along with instructions on where and how to claim your item.

💡 Tip for Travelers:　If you are unsure whether you lost your item at the airport terminal or on the train getting there, simply describe your entire travel route in the chat. As long as both facilities use the Find network, a single inquiry searches both locations at once.
